Step into the grandeur of The Banking Hall

The Banking Hall is Dublin’s most prestigious venue, standing proudly across from Trinity College and the old House of Lords. The deep history and significance of this building can be felt from the moment you step through it's doors.

Here, your welcome will be opulent, warm, and exclusive. Your guests will arrive through a private entrance in the façade on College Street; proceed into the foyer with its stained-glass feature windows.

Onwards to the Hall, meticulously restored. Georgian pillars and doorways undergird the ornate plasterwork ceiling hung with four Waterford Crystal chandeliers, each dripping with 8000 crystals. Relics of the building’s financial past accentuate its atmospheric decor, including the clock and the insignia of the old banking firm. The grandeur of this room is brought to life as your guests take their seats for a day of celebrating, educating or commemorating. The Banking Hall can accommodate gala dinners of up to 180 guests, or welcome 250 guests theatre style to confer and consult. Delivered according to your every precise detail, an occasion in The Banking Hall is one to be remembered.

The Story of the Banking Hall

College Green was established two centuries ago to promote the arts, presenting works by the Old Masters. The site was repurposed in 1866 as the headquarters of the Provincial Bank. Through the following century-and-a-half, the Banking Hall and those who passed between its columns, bore witness to the tumult and excitement of a city being born into cultured modernity. As awe-inspiring as when it was new, the venue was restored magnificently at the turn of the century to its present-day grandeur.
